We have recently completed a million dollar project on a complicated hill site, and have been very impressed with Uden Constructions professional and trustworthy work throughout the project.

 

They have delivered us a beautiful home and attached family flat for my parents, in good time and on budget.

 

We brought our own plan from our own architect for them to follow which, unknown to us, did have a few errors in it. Steve dealt with these issues quickly with simple and cost effective solutions, nothing was ever a problem.

 

Our home shows excellent workmanship and attention to detail, with careful finishing throughout.

 

Everyone we had dealings with at Uden Construction was friendly, hardworking and a pleasure to work with, from Steve right through to our onsite builder, Nicole in the office and the painters.  We would have no hesitation in recommending Uden Construction to anyone looking for a builder.

We have known Steve since August 07. Our job involved the demolition of the rear of our 80-year-old wooden bungalow in Sumner and extending the house by four meters to create a kitchen-living area with a deck and veranda. New foundations had to be laid, a new roofline erected, and three new windows and two large bifold doors incorporated.

 

Although the project was not major, it required some skilled building work and challenging decision. There were several unforeseen problems, including an interior wall out of alignment, a two-meter hole under the foundations and joinery that did not fit. Steve had to find quick solutions to these problems to ensure the project stayed on schedule and on budget.

 

Throughout the project, we found them both to be hard-working, with high standards and attention to detail. Steve is a reliable and trustworthy person with excellent communication skills and a positive approach. He was always pleasant and cheerful to deal with. He kept the site always tidy. We would have no hesitation in recommending Uden Construction to anyone contemplating a building project.

The Uden brother's builders undertook a total restoration of our 110 Year old 3 story 750 sq. metre historic home. The restoration also included a new kitchen, laundry and scullery, the demolishing of a cottage and replacement 3 car garage with self-contained apartment.

The restoration was very complicated, as there had to be a retention of the character features and a mix of new in the bathroom and kitchen areas.

 

They were able to remake some of the wood work the same as the old craftsman that original built the home, this is a hard skill to find in builders these days as most are building kit homes.

 

The brothers were on site for a year and a half and in fact lived in our house for a period of time during the renovation whilst we were overseas to ensure efficient progress.

 

They have also done work on commercial buildings for us in the CBD...

 

They run a professional and trustworthy business. They are polite, respectful and kept us well informed all the way through.

We are happy to see their business grow and wish them all the best. We would have no hesitation recommending Uden builders to anyone needing a building company.

We think Steve and Phil are a great couple of guys.  They came to our rescue when we were selling our house, the buyers building inspector found the damage of a long term leak under our kitchen sink and the flooring had rotted.

 

It looked like a big job but they had the kitchen unit out, the floor repaired, unit reinstalled in ONE day.  We were thrilled and the building inspector was so impressed he was taking their details to use them for future work.

 

They were fast, did excellent work, and cleaned up after themselves.

 

When we moved into our new house, they took time out of their busy schedule to make our new house alternations a top propriety. We would recommend them to anybody.

Steven was project manager for the major renovation we undertook on our Lyttelton property in 2008. He managed all on site aspects of the complex, architectural, $350,000 project. We were very happy with the quality and timeframe of the project and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

I had my home fully renovated. It included new bathrooms, kitchen, ceiling and internal walls. UBC worked very quickly through the project and I could not be any happier with the results. The renovation took under 8 weeks and I lived in the house during this time. At the end of every day they ensured it was as tidy as can be. I must say I was also very pleased with the price.

Walking us through all the building permits, codes etc. We have found them easy to deal with when talking through our ideas and plans.
